SPRINGFIELD – A tractor-trailer owned by Chet’s Wrecking at 1571 Page Boulevard rolled over Saturday afternoon about 2:30 p.m. at 2231 Page Boulevard. The accident caused a section of Page Boulevard to be shut down in the area of Pasco Road for more than two hours.
Springfield Fire Department spokesman Dennis G. Leger said the truck, which was carrying recyclable materials, spilled its contents all over the roadway. Leger said the truck had a flat tire. He said the driver, whose name was not available, was not hurt and climbed out of the truck through the broken windshield. Firefighters were on the scene to clean up a fluid spill from the tractor-trailer.

ORANGE - A 45-year-old Orange resident was seriously injured in a Thursday morning accident on Route 2 when her car crossed the lane into oncoming traffic and collided with a tractor trailer, according to state police officials.
The crash, reported at 7:45 a.m., forced the closing of Route 2 between Exits 16 and 17 for four hours, state police said.
The driver, Ann Chenausky, was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester by a LifeFlight helicopter ambulance, police said.
Chenausky, who was not wearing a seat belt, was trapped in her car and had to be cut free by firefighters with the Orange and Athol fire departments, police said. Her condition was not available from the hospital.
The driver of the truck, Mark Whitestone, 44, of Petersham, was uninjured, but his truck, carrying propane, caught fire, according to the Orange Fire Department. The fire was confined to the cab, and was extinguished before it could spread to the trailer.
Police said the preliminary investigation shows Chenausky was heading east when she crossed over into the westbound lane.
No charges have been filed, and state police said the accident remains under investigation.
The state police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section have been called in to assist with the investigation.
