MEEKER CO., MINN. - On Thurs. morning two people were killed and one seriously injured after a three vehicle crash in Meeker Co., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The accident happened on HWY. 7, three miles E. of Cosmos, MN and as of Thurs. afternoon HWY. 7 was still closed.
A semi-truck was heading eastbound on Hwy. 7 and a second semi-truck was heading westbound on the same hwy., according to authorities. The third vehicle involved, a Toyota Camry, was in a private driveway at the time of the crash.
The first semi-truck crossed the center line and sideswiped the second semi and then continued to broadside the car.
The driver of the first semi-truck and the passenger of the car were both pronounced dead on scene, according to authorities.
The driver of the car was airlifted the Hennepin County Medical Center listed in serious condition; and the driver of the second semi-truck was not injured.
