Three-vehicle wreck sends two to the hospital
A three-vehicle wreck involving a dump truck sent two people to the hospital on Sunday morning.
It happened at the traffic light in front of the Columbus Civic Center, at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Victory Drive around 8:15 a.m. Officials believe the dump truck was stopped at the light at the time. Two people inside of a minivan were pinned inside and had to be cut out of the vehicle.
Two people were sent to the hospital. Officials say one of them is believed to have non-life threatening injuries and the other was critical at the time they were transported. The identities of those involved are not yet known.
Traffic at the intersection was blocked off for several hours while authorities investigated and then cleaned up from the accident. The cause remains under investigation.
